How To Use This Web Site
and other helpful suggestions to get the most out of your online
experience.
How To Print Web Pages On This Site
This web site is set up using frames, which makes it a little tricky to print
individual pages. If you have the latest browser versions (see below), its
pretty simple though. Here's the easy way to do it.
Internet Explorer (PC):
- Click once anywhere in the frame you want to print (except, of course, on
a hyperlink).
- Click on the File menu and select Print or Right-Click
on the page you want and select Print.
- If you don't want to print the whole frameset (the menu on the left, plus
the page in the main window), select the checkbox for only the selected
frame. (If this choice is grayed out, hit Cancel to return to
the page, and repeat step 1.)
- Click Okay.
Netscape Navigator (PC)
- Click once anywhere in the frame you want to print (except, of course, on
a hyperlink).
- Click on the File menu and select Print Frame or Print
Preview.
- Print Frame will give you your standard print
dialog so you may choose color/B&W and other options.
- Print Preview will allow you to check the page
selected.
- Click Okay or Print if you have the correct frame chosen.
Setting Up Your Computer To Get The Most Out Of This Site
If you already have a 4.0 or better browser there are some things you can do
to enhance your web site viewing experience.
- Open your browser's window to the full size your screen allows.
- Set your monitor's screen resolution to 800x600 pixels and at
least 16 bit High Color or better.
- In Windows 98, click and hold on the monitor icon in the system
tray (lower right corner on your task bar) and select the above
choice.
- If you don't have an icon visible, Right-Click on your
desktop, and select Properties, then Settings, Advanced,
and check the "Show settings icon on taskbar" box.
- While you're in the Settings window you can make your
changes there, too. The icon is just convenient for making future
changes.
- In Internet Explorer, you can use the Font Size Icon to set font
size for your own needs. Alternately, you can choose View, Text Size
(or View, Increase Font or Decrease Font in Netscape)
from the menu bar. This site has been designed to look best at the default
Medium size at 800x600 resolution.
Download The Latest Version Of Your Preferred Browser
In order to experience the web fully, you should download and install the
latest version of your favorite browser. While we have made every effort to make
this site display in a useable fashion for all browsers, if you don't have at
least a 4.0 or newer version of Internet Explorer or Netscape 3.0 or better,
some of the behind the scenes programming written in JavaScript won't be
supported.
Your webmaster recommends the Internet Explorer browser because of its more
extensive support for the latest World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) standards for
Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) which allow much more accurate and precise layout
and design as well as many other advanced techniques. We've made minimal use of
this great new technology at this point in order to ensure that the site is as
backwards compatible as possible. We urge you to update now so that when we
implement more CSS you will be able to enjoy the full effect.
