Membership Eligibility

U. S. Postal Service Federal Credit Union Field of Membership includes the U. S. Postal Service and those from Select Groups (SGs).

Print out a membership application and mail or return it to any branch location. You can also Request more information.

You are eligible for membership if you are an employee or retiree of the:

• United States Postal Service
• Household Members of USPS FCU Members:
  • Family members of existing USPS FCU members
  • Spouses of persons who died while within the field of membership of this Credit Union

• If your not eligible through the above two ways or as an employee of one of our Select Groups below, you may join by becoming a member of the American Consumer Council. The American Consumer Council (ACC) is a non-profit, tax-exempt membership organization with more than 130,000 members in all 50 states.

   

  The mission of the American Consumer Council is to educate consumers on the purchase and use of safe, reliable products and services. ACC also serves as a consumer advocacy organization to champion consumer rights, offer financial literacy workshops, promote environmental protection and foster corporate social responsibility.

   

  By joining the American Consumer Council at no cost,you become eligible to join USPS Federal Credit Union! There are no membership dues or fees you pay as long as you’re a member of USPS FCU which is proud to be a sponsoring member of the American Consumer Council.

   

  It's easy to join USPS FCU and ACC. Simply complete our membership application and choose ACC as your eligibility option. We will do the rest. ACC will be provided with only your name, address, phone number and email address. Your membership data and information is treated in a confidential, legal and ethical manner. ACC does not sell, lease, or lend its membership data to anyone.

Select Group Eligibility

To be eligible, your organization or company must be within a 50 mile radius of the Main Office of USPS FCU or one of its branches, and your company must not participate in any other credit union. Your company must also be in business for at least 3 years and must offer Direct Deposit or Payroll Allotment. There is no limit to the number of employees you must have to be eligible to become a sponsor, 1 or 1000 or more, groups of all sizes are eligible.
